When Johnny and his sister Barbra go to put a wreath on their father's grave, the last thing that they expect is an encounter with the undead. Expected or not, the zombies are on the prowl and after only a few minutes of screen-time Johnny is dead and Barbra is on the run with a stumbling (and real ugly-looking) un-dead guy stumbling after her.

Barbra Flees to a deserted farmhouse, but the zombie is hot on her trail and seems totaly unable to understand the fact that Barbra obviously does not want to join him for lunch. Fortunately for Barb a man called Ben turns up at the house too. Ben is very much alive and plans to stay that way. He sets to work boarding up the windows and doors while his companion sinks further into shock.

The majority of Night of the Living Dead is shot in and around the farmhouse, as are a lot of zombies. This is probably one of the best films available in the Public Domain and well worth watching, if you can stand the Zombies sloppy table manners. Damn they're messy eaters.
